Allergic rhinitis is an IgE-Medicated inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose occurring due to exposure to an inhaled allergen like pollen dust, moulds, fungi and animal dander. It is characterized by the typical symptoms of sneezing, rhinorrhea, nasal obstruction and itching of the nose. It is conventionally classified into seasonal, perennial and occupational.
